FAQ:

Q:  Why did you rename your photography business “Castles and Cupcakes?”

A:  There is a videographer in Gilbert, AZ who registered the name “Serenity Pictures” several years ago.  We were aware of this when we registered our business name as “Serenity Pictures Photography” and while we have not had any issues we decided it would be a good idea to change to a more original name now, rather than possibly have issues in the future.  We also weren’t loving “Serenity Pictures” as our business name, particularly because it didn’t seem to fit the child photography aspect of the business.

Q:  Are there any other changes to go along with the new name?

A:  Yes and no.  Shellie recently decided that she is only going to take studio portrait sessions at present time (rather than location).  Logistics is a big part of this; as a mom of four Shellie finds it makes more sense to utilize her professionally equipped dedicated home studio rather than traveling to location sessions at this time.  Plus, there are literally dozens of excellent location photographers who photograph families and children.  Shellie would be happy to recommend someone great–just ask.  Shellie and Tom still photograph weddings and events together and are also happy to consider commercial studio or commercial location work, as their schedule permits.  By focusing on studio portraiture, Shellie’s had time to implement some exciting and unique new theme and set options, to be released soon!

Q:  How can I contact you?

A:  You can reach Shellie 480-280-4408 or send an e-mail to saltriverphoto @ gmail . com (removing spaces).  We’d be happy to hear from you!
