It’s starting to get too hot to play at the park in the early evening, but we went Sunday evening around 6pm and as soon as the sun fell behind the horizon, it was quite comfortable.  At least for those us [me] who weren’t running around like crazy.  :)   There even was a slight breeze; gentle enough to feel nice but not too breezy as to really wreak havoc on our allergies.  K is becoming quite the brave one on the playground (it still amazes me how far she’s come).  D proclaimed “I’m a boy and boys don’t smile!” so I got to spend most of my time trying to cajole him into smiling.  Turns out, big brother said something about a video game that wasn’t meant literally, that D took literally.  Three year olds are very literal! And the boy got a haircut today. I don’t mind it being longer but he’s been getting so overheated the moment he steps outside; I thought a short haircut might help him stay cool.

I met up with little Miss J at Founders’ Park in Queen Creek today.  Her mama said that she’s usually extremely shy, so I think we were both pleasantly surprised that she did absolutely amazing!  Isn’t she the cutest little thing ever?  I don’t know if there’s anything sweeter than a little child like this…but of course that’s why I love doing what I do!

Yes, I actally *do* own a thesaurus.  I need to use it!  Would you believe that this little beauty was a 28-week preemie!?  Look at those eyes, too.  Overwhelming cuteness!

Are there even any words???  I need to find some synonyms to “cute” and “adorable” and “precious!”

Kingston joined me in the studio this morning for another cake smash!  I honestly think that if I could only photograph one thing for the rest of my life, I would pick this.  I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of the adorable expressions and reactions that all babies seem to have!

Here’s a smattering of some recent favorites of mine.  With being so behind and then recovering from having the blog hacked, I figured I could save time and frustration by doing one post of several sessions.  Enjoy!

Hacked!!!

Shellie · December 30, 2009 · 12:53 am

We were hacked!  It wasn’t the first time–it happened back in 2003 when I was running a tie dye business (yes, interesting tidbit there, no?) and it was as much a huge hassle then as it is now.  The good news?  We were able to restore an earlier copy of the blog and I didn’t have to completely start over.  I’m smart–I make back-ups.  The bad news?  I had spent nearly all night a couple days ago fixing the broken images and posting several sessions from the last few weeks.  I nearly fell asleep in the chair waiting for an upload to finish and went to bed without making a back-up.  Murphy was alive and well that night because the next morning…everything had gone *poof.*  And I cried.
